Farid is the Founder Director of Northeast India - ASEAN Chamber of Commerce. He is also an appointed Director, Guwahati branch of the India - Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce & Industry. He also consults as Advisor to the Meghalaya International exporters Chamber of Commerce, Dawki, Garo Hills Border Trade and Chamber of Commerce, Meghalaya and Border Trade and Chamber of Commerce, Moreh town in Manipur.
He has more than 20 years of experience in international business and Trade & Investment Consultancy in ASEAN.
He is an invited speaker on North east India - ASEAN and South Asia's Connectivity on Trade & Investment in various platforms.
He provides consultancy services to several clients in ASEAN besides being a part of Trade & Investment delegations. He writes a blog 'Eastward Ho! North East India - ASEAN Connectivity' on his views and experiences and contributes articles to publications. He has written extensively on Northeast India - Bangladesh border trade and prospects to improver bilateral Trade & Investment. He is an Economics graduate and has done his PG Mgmt. in International Trade from Xavier's Institute of Management (XIM), St. Xavier's College, Mumbai, India.
